Student Violin #1

Inside of the violin there was a label. However it has been rubbed and mostly removed with what is left being left unreadable.

This is an interesting violin in that it was made 100 years ago by an amateur or someone who was moonlighting in his shop.  He used nice wood and made a nice violin but he did some really odd things.  These odd things were that he tried to make fake cracks and a fake graft at the scroll.  He tried to give it the antique look like you see in the "Antiqued Antique". This does not affect the integrity of the violin but the look is misleading.  In my opinioln he should have just let it look like the violin it is.

Our luthier cleaned the violin and replaced the bridge and the tuning pegs.  He also built a new nut and a new saddle. The strings were on it when Mario bought it so they have already stretched and you will not have to break them in.

This is a nice violin for a fiddler or a good student. It likes different music and is suited to learning different music. That is why we called it the Student violin
