Buy a 1/4 Size Suzuki 1966 Violin

Submitted by admin on Wed, 01/09/2008 - 23:59.

This is the youngest violin in the collection.  It is in great condition especially when you consider that the previous owner was probably a very young child.

It has very complete documentation inside. It is identified as a Stradivarius copy by the Suzuki Violin Co. Ltd. of Nagoya, Japan. It is identified as No. 101 RR, made in 1966. In separate identification in the other F hole it is identified as Model S 1/4, serial # 743 and dated 10/66.

This violin is made from wood.  The back and the sides are maple. It is not the dramatic maple grain of the German violins but it is genuine maple. The top is made of spruce.  The hardware including the pins, the tailpiece and the fingerboard are ebony.  You will not find this in brand new violins out of present day factories.  Modern Suzuki violins are made with a lot of synthetic materials. Chinese violins are made of plastic. That is why this violin is worth as least as much as a brand new violin. The sound is good and it has stood the test of time by surviving over 4 decades. It also has value for resale and also for its collectable status.

If you are interested in purchasing a violin you can send me a message using the contact us form. I prefer to use Paypal for the transaction. Paypal is capable of accepting all major credit cards.
